– MBTI TEAM ACTIVITY

  • To know and accept own preferences based on the MBTI EIR (all team members to complete the inventory online prior to the session)

  • To explore the management team dynamics based on individual preferences

  • To acknowledge the differences between each team member and to decide how to communicate, make decisions, manage conflict and work through problems with one another

  • To enhance relationships with increased awareness of preferences, style and mode of communication

 

2 – GSI TEAM ACTIVITY

  • To understand the team dynamics and outcomes of a specific business decision to enhance team productivity

  • To measure each individual team member’s perception of the group’s interaction on a task

  • To develop the team’s needs assessment, identifying behaviours for the team to change and build or strengthen to better achieve synergy

 

3 – VALUEBALLS ACTIVITY

The 12 team interaction valueballs™ will compel team members to scrutinise their daily team interactions and behaviours, to make immediate improvements and to produce evidence of their actions and the outcomes.  Team members will be challenged to show how they have added value through:

  • cultivating and using positive team experiences to improve the team’s effectiveness

  • rewarding and recognising team members

  • boosting team morale

  • personally improving a team relationship

  • team engagement and intra-team interactions

  • improving your team’s influence within your business

 

4 – CCS ACTIVITIES

Various activities could be included using the CCS tools such as:

  • Improving our strategic thinking

  • Creating personal reflections

  • Working with our personal and team values

  • Living the vision

 

5 – MAZE GAME

A half day session using the maze game would assist in answering the following questions:

Planning

  • How well did you use the planning time? What were the key areas you discussed during the time?

  • Who was the communicator/facilitator of the discussion – how well did that work?

  • What questions did you prepare – what else could you have asked?

Communication

  • What worked when the game started with your communication?

  • How hard was it to get messages across?

  • What else could you do in the situation?

  • What parallels are there to your communication in the workplace?

  • How effective were you personally during the exercise?

Teamwork

  • Who was the leader? How did that work?

  • What were the team dynamics?

  • What did you learn about your colleagues?

  • How effective are you as a team in the work environment?

  • What lessons from today can you consider adding to your effectiveness?

Achievement

  • How successful were you as a team?

  • How competitive did you feel during the game?

  • What strategies worked for increased success?

  • How satisfied did you feel about your achievement?

  • What should we do differently to increase our level of team satisfaction in the work environment?

 

6 – WORKING AS A HIGH PERFORMING TEAM (LENCIONI)

Activities to overcome the following 5 dysfunctions by embodying the behaviours required:

  • Absence of trust – building trust by being vulnerable

  • Fear of conflict – understanding and identifying the conflict resolution obstacles

  • Lack of commitment – achieving goals

  • Avoidance of accountability – living up to the team performance standards

  • Inattention to results – focus on the team goals
